Sound & Vision: HAIM [documentary] Author:   ·  October 30th, 2012

We’re huge fans of Los Angeles trio, HAIM, so you can imagine our excitement when we received this short documentary of the band – the 6th doc in Red Bull Soundstage’s Sound & Vision series. The 12-minute doc follows sisters Este (bassist), Danielle (lead guitarist), and Alana Haim (guitar/keyboard/percussionist) as the ladies tell the story of how they went from their childhood raised in the San Fernando Valley (a suburb of L.A.) and playing with their parents in a family band, to venturing out on their own; “It was a pretty magical thing how we all came together.” The doc captures HAIM as they prepare for  their 2nd headlining show ever at Los Angeles’ Echoplex and also follows the band behind-the-scenes during a recent fashion photoshoot. Their story will leave you inspired to CREATE and pursue your artistry.

Dianna Agron's You Me & Charlie - Haim

I love a good documentary, especially on an artist that I have on heavy roation! I also grew up in the San Fernando Valley, so naturally I had to show some lovin’ to my fellow “Valley Girls”, especially since we all hardly fit the infamous “Valley Girl” stereotype. The buzz on these ladies is the real deal, so get familiar because I have a feeling you’ll be hearing a lot more about Haim!

The art is in the living, so I'm learning to fully allow myself to LIVE and find the joys that everyday brings. Life is calculated and everything happens for a reason... Which brings me here, to you all. The possibilities are endless; let's explore them shall we?
