This is definitely my favourite post in the SEE tag, it’s just amazing, there’s something so peaceful about just spending time somewhere with natural surroundings, no computers, no television, just the feel of your feet against the grass and I love the effects and lighting, this shoot is absolutely beautiful

  • tattootanith

I really loved Charlie’s Secret Garden. The Secret Garden was one of my absolute favorite books when I was little, and my mum would read it to me over and over again. I actually still own the movie! This post just brought up my love for the story again, and I really loved the photography. Gorgeous pictures!

  • lfeins

First off, the way the light reflects on the people, the trees, the grass, the dresses and the flowers is absolutely breathtaking. This will forever be my favorite, not only in this category, but on the site. Upon laying my eyes on this beautiful photoshoot and reading the description, I took my friends to an abandoned house on a lake with a garden and shot her in similar sundresses. The Secret Garden is absolutely flawless and seamlessly pairs harmony, mystery and friendship. It is the perfect representation of what the capacity of YM&C and what it creates.

  • Brittany Davies

This is my favorite post ever on YM&C but it will classify as my favorite post for the See section! I fell inlove with this post because you felt a great piece of magick, it truly grasped a place i would love to visit! I also believe this magickal place is where someone of Dianna’s pure magick is kept… i will be on a mission to find this “Secret Garden” when i am wanting to feel inspired or even need to relax from a hard day, i simply look at this post and close my eyes and imagine me here, either by myself or with friends, depends on my mood i guess haha. I am truly convinced i will find a place like this and be able to capture it through images, anywhere could be terrific if you can make it be special to you! This post and this website are my happy places! Thank you You, Me and Charlie for giving me my imagination back! X

  • http://twitter.com/alittlecharlie_ caitlin agronsky ツ

Definitely my favorite See post and possibly my most favorite post ever! I love all of the photos so much, especially the one where it seems like Dianna is kind of manipulating the magick in the second one. My favorites would have to be that one, 14, 9, and 10! The ladies look gorgeous, the setting is amazing and the editing is really cool and magickal! I actually wrote a story for my English class once that Charlie inspired and it took place in a “magickal meadow” and this setting definitely fits that! The video is so cute too, it looks like it was a lot of fun to shoot! Not to mention the fact that Dianna may be the cutest person ever. Love love love it!

  • Mallory Roy

Not only is this my favourite in See because the pictures are outstanding but the description makes me want to go there and find the magic. To lose myself in a book in the field or lose myself staring up at the clouds imagining a world far away from ours. This post is full of magic and wonder.

  • Katherine K

My favourite post in See! These photos are true magick, and are also enchanting. Everything about the pictures is perfect, from the setting to the colours. So beautiful

  • Violeta Tapia

The Charlie´s Secret Garden is my favorite post from “See”. Is an old post, a clasic one. I love it because, the book “The secret garden” was interpreted in pictures taken in a garden, which were then edited and ended “magical”.

  • Filippa Peyron

As a sucker for beautiful nature, I simply love this garden more than anything on this category. I also love photographing, which makes this is the perfect post, in my opinion. Plus, the song selection is incredible! Well done to the ladies of You, Me & Charlie.

  • Taylor

This has been my favorite EVERYTHING for a while now. The fact that it was inspired by The Secret Garden, the fact that Claire Oring too the pictures. The complete originality of it it all amazes me.

  • Jessica Fedeli

this is my favorite post in the SEE category and one of my absolute favorite post on the site. I loved the book and the work that Dianna, Claire and all the others who worked on the project is wonderful…the photos are spectacular, seems to really be in a magickal garden! The effects used in the photos, the coloring, the poses, the chosen place…perfection

  • Mathilda Ekman

I am in love with this post. The first time I saw it I just fell in love with it. The colors are amazing and they work so well together. I feel a bit ashamed to admit that I had almost forgotten about it… When I read about the giveaway I went to look through the posts in the SEE category and I rediscovered it. I am so glad I did. This whole photoset is magickal, it reminds me of a fairytale of some kind. Claire has done an amazing job with these pictures and they really inspire me to keep taking photos and make them into something more magickal!

  • http://twitter.com/mournfulskies m

Always been in love with this post. Gorgeous location, gorgeous lighting, gorgeous girls! <3 It inspired me to have a little photoset myself with some friends of mine. It's so magical and original, I just love love love it!

  • http://twitter.com/AmeliaRosex3 Amelia

The magick that comes from this post is amazing. Of course this is my favorite See post. All of these pictures scream You Me & Charlie. Not only are they full of magick, but they are full of creativity, beauty, nature, and happiness. I would give anything to have my picture taken by Claire at this location. I’ve never seen so much beauty and uniqueness all at once. I love it. <3

  • Naomi_Ohayon

This is my favorite post. I grew up with the Secret Garden, both the book and the movie, I can’t even count how many times I’ve seen the movie, but I can tell you how I felt when the garden came alive once again.
It was the same feeling I got while looking at this post and the beautiful pictures. It truly radiates magic. It gives a scene of calm and warm and a gentile touch.

The photographs themselves are so beautiful I can get lost looking at them. The lighting in the pictures are magnificent, it gives off the sense of warm. The emotions in their eyes are captured so wonderfully and it feels like I can actually feel what they are feeling. It gives me a scene of peace and harmony. It is just so calming.

This post diffidently gets me smiling :)

  • http://twitter.com/amgarza516 A M Garza

there is just something visually stunning about Claire and mix that with Dianna and it is just perfection. Thank you

  • http://twitter.com/Heather90891 Heather O’Connell

Charlie’s Secret Garden was one of my favorite posts on the Old YOu Me and Charlie and it’s still one of my favorites on the New You Me and Charlie. The photos are pure magick and reminds me a lot of my imagination as a child. The photos capture what I’ve always thought a fairy garden would look like with magick, fairies, and love to go around for all. To me the photos show the magick that you might not always be able to see, but shows you that just because you can’t see it doesn’t mean it isn’t there.

  • https://twitter.com/#!/indazone23 Melisa

‘Charlie’s Secret Garden’ is my favorite post of all time
Dianna, Ashley and Chelsea, three partners in crime
Claire the photographer captures the serene magnificence
This photoset clearly highlights her sheer brilliance

YMC has made me believe in magick again
Dianna floating mid air, you don’t need to explain
Claire told me herself that it was magick
And to those who don’t believe.. how tragic

In all seriousness though, I really love this photo shoot and have since the moment I saw it. Very hard to pick a favorite photo out of the collection because they all are so unique in their own way. But there is something about the shot of Dianna and Ashley holding hands that just renders me speechless. Maybe it’s the contrast, or the exposure, or the bond of friendship? Maybe is just a feeling that can’t be described! This post introduced me to the beauty of photography and I thank ym&c for that.

  • Niklas Rode

This is really one of my favorite Posts ever and especially my favorite on in the “See” category. My wallpaper today is still a mix of all these different pictures. Watching these Photos and the Video really makes you feel like you are in another time. The place is just amazing and I love how the way the photos are edited because it fits so well to these outfits they are wearing. And of course it´s always a joy to hear Dianna say something in french. Im really glad that YM&C teamed up with Claire because the result is just astonishing and of course im looking forward another photoshoot. Still the best Wallpaper I ever heard not only because it features 3 beautiful woman but also has this mystery magical look about it which reminds me of Charlie ;)

  • http://twitter.com/BadWolfKaily Kaily Russell

All the pictures in this series remind me of a fairytale filled with magic. Or kind of like a nostalgic happiness and innocence reminiscent of childhood. I really can’t help but smile and feel like writing something to accompany the beauty and colors of each picture.

  • Cissa Martins

This is my favorite. The pictures were amazing and the video is very enjoyable to watch. I chose this as my favorite because it made me want to join some friends put on a dress and walk barefoot in the grass … And take photos … And have fun.And it made me want to read the book, I never read but people are always telling me to do ;)

  • http://twitter.com/valencastillos Valentina

This is not only my favorite SEE post,is my favorite post EVER. It was the most beautiful combination between my love for Claire’s work and this girls that somehow hold a big place inside my heart. Art makes us better people, and you guys are just doing something pretty amazing work here. You teach us that life can be our own garden, that we can play in it,that magick is absolutely everywhere and even if sometimes people try to make us grow up this post reminds us that being a child, even for just a second makes everything better. Thank you for making us grow secrets gardens in our souls.

  • Hannah Wolfenden

This is absolutely enchanting! I want that hat that Dianna was wearing because it is just awesome! I wanna wear it to my formal! Every single photo just makes me wanna live in the woods and have tea partys with Alice, a fox and the Bee from ‘Bee movie’ and dance to The Troggs. Also it takes me back to when I was 8.. 9 ish and I was trying to transport around like Leo in Charmed. These photo’s are so magical! The behind the scenes video was just so awesome and inspiring! Also thank you for introducing me to Youth Lagoon! I was so inspired by this I made a video for an account I made dedicated to YM&C @SpreadDaCharlie but I made a mistake with the spelling of something in it and well Charlie was then charle so I could never really post it lol. This post has been one of the most inspiring ones for me and I just love it so much!

  • Sara B

Charlie’s Secret Garden is my favorite post in See. It’s just got that magickal feeling to it and almost reminds me of the Sanderson sisters from Hocus Pocus (though much more beautiful, of course).

  • Anneliese Villanueva

This was one of my favorite posts from the old site and it remains my favorite now that it is in the See section. Every picture has this sense of magic and beauty. I love the feeling and the atmosphere of it. It was a great way to welcome the spring season. I really love the photography. Claire did an excellent job in capturing the beauty of these three ladies and the environment they were in. So lovely.

  • Rebecca Kelly

This is by far my favourite SEE post. ‘Charlie’s Secret Garden’.

It made me believe in magic again, a piece of my childhood that I refuse to truly let go off. Maybe because I don’t want to grow up but this touched me in a way I could only dream of. All of the photographs are unique, reminding me again just how magical the simplest of things can be. The contrast was amazing. This post renders me speechless.

The child-like qualities in it can’t be described, it was beautiful. And Dianna floating in mid-air, magic.

  • Tegan

This is my favourite post in the See section because it was inspired by The Secret Garden, which was probably the first book I ever read without my mum’s help, so always brings back fond memories. Also it was one of my favourites on the old site and my art teacher even used it as inspiration in class. Claire captures the beauty and magick of the spring time so well. And I don’t even want to know how you got Dianna floating in mid-air, magick I’m assuming. And for some reason it makes me think of Hansel and Gretel as well, which just makes it that much better!

  • http://twitter.com/embemp3 emma clifford

This is one of my all time favorite posts! It takes me back to my own childhood and one of my all time favorite films, the secret garden. I love how childlike and innocent the whole thing is. Sometimes you have to live your adult life through the eyes of a child to truly appreciate what is around you and this post really shows that. As children, magic, fairies, secret passages all existed within our imagination but suddenly disappear as we grow ‘older’. That’s why we have so many problems! As adults we aren’t carefree and we forget how to believe in the unimaginable. All we focus on is the hate, jealousy, anger etc. We forget how to be carefree and innocent. This post reminds me that magic does exist, it’s all around us, we just have to go back to our youth and look… If you look closely enough, i swear you can see the fairies!!

  • Genny Kyngsley

“Wick” is an adjective I fell in love with after reading The Secret Garden one of my favorite classics, one of my favorite books actually. I love words not often used that have lovely meanings but quirky sounds. “Wick” means alive or lively and is used in the book (page 125 to be precise) to describe the sleeping rose bushes in the Secret Garden. Charlie’s Secret Garden is so wick is makes me wish very much that the world wasn’t going to sleep for the winter just yet, and that I could walk barefoot in Charlie’s garden, talking to the fairies and feeling the magick of spring (one that feels so far away now). It is such a hard choice, but I would say this SEE is my favorite. I never tire of looking at these photos. Thank you so much for the magick and appreciation of the equinox. Most often, the old holidays celebrating the seasons and the pure majesty of nature (the equinoxes and solstices) are forgotten, and that makes this series of photographs even more unique and wonderful.

    -Love, Genny

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100000500090417 Bruna Luiza

The series of photographs of Charlie’s Secret Garden was a very beautiful way to celebrate the arrival of the spring equinox. This is my favorite post from the old version of YM&C. Claire has her own style to shoot and edit the photos because she can tell us a story, transport us into an alternate reality of magical unicorns, fairies and forest creatures only with images. The tone she uses to give a magical effect makes this fascinating work. I see these pics and I imagine the island Fairies book Mists of Avalon. Chelsea and Ashley are beautiful, but Dianna is our Fairy Queen.

  • Cole VanSon

“Charlie’s Secret Garden” is, without a doubt, my favorite post in the See category. This may even be my favorite post on the whole YM&C site! The pictures are candy for my eyes. I want to frame each picture and put them all on an empty wall in my house. I love that there are people in this world who love to go to a remote location, dress up and let their imagination take over.

  • DancingInChairs

TICK TOK. Clock is ticking. To me. To you. Not to them. The inexorable
trace of time has never looked better. Under a green scenario these three women
enjoy their freedom. Time is countless and inspires me those words:

“Some people have a secret garden

some place to explore, somewhere to hide.

Where shadows grow longer than trees,

    the moon and stars collide.

    Grass, grass, grass,

Let’s hide our madness under the fall.

    I can see a grin.

    A grin under a nose.

    A nose under two eyes.

And the birds above them all.

Some people have a secret garden,

    found unsought, concealed in dreams,

where even sun isn’t what it seems.”

Even I’m absolutely fond on Fin, Wirow and The Vanderberg posts, for me the
SEE section is crowned by Charlie’s Secret Garden.

In this post is where I would like to stand up and applause (even you couldn’t
hear it) the garden, the grass, the dresses, the trees, these three little big ladies
and the photographer, never showed but always present. When I asked if some
“flashback” posts would be published again and saw it as the first one to come
back, I got really excited. I truly was. I felt that Y,M&Charlie’s old
essence would never be gone. Always remain.

It’s impressive how the human figures of Dianna, Ashley and Chelsea become
part of the natural scenario with an instant “click” of the camera. They seem
part of the trees as their dark loose dresses become naturally part of them. “Go mess
around. You ladies have the time of your lives ahead. Have fun. Act like kids.
Return to the childhood you’ll never come back. Why to move fast to break the
moment? Live now, die old”. I can imagine the forest itself thinking these
words and somehow transmitting the message to them.

  • https://twitter.com/_an__ Ana

This post is my favorite on the see section. The colors of nature and the reflection of sunlight makes it look like a place full of life, secrets and hiding places. The photos are a truly dream, with orange and yellow lights full of magic and the sun reflecting in Ashley, Chelsea and Dianna. My favorite photos taken by Claire are where Ashley is with the suitcase(she looks ready for some adventure), the one where Dianna and Ashley are holding hands, look like they are saying, you are not alone, you have me and finally the one where the three are holding hands and dancing in a circle as if there were nothing more important in this world than that. The video is just
amazing, you can know a little more about the people behind this inspirational web, know a little more of the magic behind the photographs. I really love the laughters, the fun and warm atmosphere that you created together.

  • Charlotte Sharman

I was SO delighted that this post made it onto the relaunched site! When
I first came across the photos I was simply amazed. They remind me of my
childhood where I would run around the garden pretending to be a fairy. When it
was originally posted in March it still felt like winter for us in the UK due
to the unpredictable, miserable weather. However, this photo shoot made me so excited for
spring, and I felt as if I was transported into a magickal and enchanting
fantasy world. The location looks absolutely beautiful, and I would love to go
    and visit wherever it is.

Claire has such a creative eye for photography and a wonderful gift, and
I love the effects she has used on the photos. Dianna, Chelsea and Ashley all
look beautiful and it looked like you all had such a fun time taking these
photos! I’m still left wondering how on earth that levitating photo works…

  • merv

I think “Charlie’s Secret Garden” was one on the first uploaded in the new website and loved it.
The pictures are amazing and make believe in magic and fairies. And that’s important in this world which we live… We have to believe…

  • GoldringI

Here’s where I lose all chance of winning this competition business: This is my favourite simply because it’s Di and her mates pissing about in a field. It’s freewheeling, carefree, sublime, fun, weird, beautiful – everything Ms. Agron, her friends, and Charlie purport to be. YM&C in a photoshoot. (Also, when it turned up on the original site, I stole the photo of Di lying/sitting down and playing with a flower to use as a LiveJournal Avatar. Sorry. High praise, though – I haven’t used other Avatars since first coming online.)

  • lauramaek61

Perhaps by this point it is cliché to say, but this post is my absolute favorite, and apparently it is for all those before me. I don’t doubt them though; Charlie’s secret garden entirely encapsulates the very essence of this website. This post magically expresses the wanderlust found in a proper attitude, the love found in friendship, and the support found in a community where expression of interests is so widely promoted. As an up-and-coming photographer, the fabulous use of contrast, depth of field, texture, and more inspires a passion for what is yet to be created at my own hands. Furthermore, the script and design of the photos’ qualities induces memories of childhood wonderment. This post fully articulates the fulfills the idea of “the creative adult is the child who survives”, and provides persistent inspiration.

  • http://twitter.com/CallMeAggie agathe loison

When I saw these pictures for the first time, I call my mom and my twin sister. And I was like:” don’t you think they’re incredible? The way that they took these pictures? And created this magick atmosphere?” You all look so happy that now I just need to look at the video or the photos to feel your happiness and share it too :) . A Secret Garden. I’ve got mine, and you are a part of it. And I think that yours is really pretty and dreamy . By the way you all reminds me of fairies. Or nymphs in the old grec mythology. I do love mythology with every God and Goddess and Nymphs. You’re very wonderful and I’m still thinking how you succeeded in doing the 14th picture. But well I guess that if you’re all Nymphs it must stay secret. Magick Magick Everywhere. :)

  • @mygoodintent

Dianna et. al. This favourite post thing is just too difficult. How can we choose, how can we choose? Well I reallly like your recent Julian Bialowas post but, of course me(and countless others I think) have too root for this as favourite `see’ post. I mean it`s CHARLIE`S secret garden! It`s you Di and the pictures are nothing but magical. I mean I am certainly no big celebrity follower but, sometime over a year ago I typed a certain very beautiful celebrities name into my computer and yes I apologise deeply as my initial interest was like, oh my god this woman is so, so gorgeous but glad I did as it lead me to find out that she was also so intelligent and compassionate and her interests were so fasinating(time for a full stop me thinks!). Then, of course I found you me and charlie, which opens my eyes to so many amazing things on a daily basis. Things I wouldn`t find, I don`t think, without this wonderful site. Well I know after this I wont be winning any competition, but Dianna and everyone else who contributes to this site, I want to say thank you. I am only just beggining to come out of what was a very long, dark and lonely place and this site brings so much needed colour and insperation into my world. I hope you all know what you do for people who need this, like me, in this regularly cruel world. Dianna thank you for being so bloody beautifull on the outside for getting me here, but more so, thank you for all you do to give me hope that there are people out there who do genuinely care.
