Meet: GIVERS Author:   ·  August 6th, 2012

The Givers’, “Up Up Up” will make you move and shake as I do, I believe, and here with us, the Givers generously donated their time, to answer a few of our questions. Without further ado…

Dianna: Put together a fun, random Sentence….
Fill in the blanks:
If I could be a bird then I would feel like Nelly Furtado.
If we had a weiner dog then we would never leave the house.
I once but now I’ve somehow made a living of it.

Dianna: Top five influences (doesn’t have to be musical), go!

Dianna: Favorite place is…
GIVERS: Lafayette, Louisiana (my home)–Seems like a boring answer, but once you are touring for so long, there is nothing like sleeping in your own bed.

Dianna: “Up Up Up” makes me smile, through and through. What does this song mean to all of you?
GIVERS: “Up Up Up” is a song that can carry it’s own meaning for each person–for this reason we try to avoid clouding people’s interpretation of the song with our own. We want it to be whatever you need it to be for you.

Dianna: What does music mean to you?
GIVERS: Music can be mean whatever you want or need it to mean. It can be a simple expression of joy–a profound meditation–a means of emotional survival–it can be anything and everything.

Dianna: Motto to live by…
GIVERS: Find a way to make your passion also be a service to others–when you find a way to support the world around you, the world around you will find it’s way to support you.

Dianna: Do you have a favorite song of your own?
GIVERS: My favorite song right now is ‘Heavy Light’ by Dr. Dog (a band we just went out on tour with). SO good!

Dianna: Favorite Charlie?
1. Charlie Brown
2. Charlie Parker
3. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory
4. Charlie bit my finger
5. Charlie Murphy
6. Charlie Horse

About The Author

Oh, isn't this always fun?? Ha! Well, let's see. I am a SF-bred girl who would live my entire life down the rabbit hole in a world of nonsense, but due to the low probability of me ever finding that damn hole, I use my vivid imagination every day and refuse to ever truly grow up. Not all the way! That wouldn't be fun! Why not embrace a life like Peter? I love what I do, I love to see a smile turn a smile turn a smile. Life is too short, too melancholy for some. I'd like to try to diffuse that as much as I can. I am only one, but together we are so much more. Hope you have fun here on YM&C. I've been having a grand time thus far!
