We’re excited to exclusively premiere The Dø’s latest music video, “BWOJ” (an acronym for their sophomore album title, Both Ways Open Jaws) here on YM&C! The video captures the French-Finnish duo and co. during a live recording session at Studio Pigalle. The composition, that voice, their energy… It’s so raw, you can’t help but feel like you’re there.
The Dø (pronounced “dough”) is made up of singer Olivia Merilahti and composer/producer Dan Levy. Front woman, Olivia, elaborates on the meaning behind Both Ways Open Jaws, “It’s like a magic formula to us. It produced many different images in our minds. It refers to A Mouthful, but in a more dangerous way. It can be a two-headed monster with jaws wide open on both sides, or anything you want to imagine.”
The Dø is currently on tour in the U.S. so be sure to catch them when they stop in your city! In the mean time you can check out their albums on itunes here:
