Ashley Arabian’s Top 5 Songs of 2012 Author:   ·  December 27th, 2012

Alright, here are my top five favorite songs that have come out this year. When I love a song, I’ll play it on repeat on my car stereo for about a month. These songs make me want to dance and sing along, VERY LOUDLY in my driver’s seat, even though that’s not my best quality. But hey, who cares? I’m rocking out, okay? Now you do it:

DIanna Agron's You Me & Charlie - Mia Bad GirlsMIA – “Bad Girls”

[*Editor's Note: Mark Ronson & The Business' "Somebody To Love Me" is from 2010, however it was a favorite of Ashley's this year. Our playlists, our rules ;]. Also, the track wasn’t available on Spotify, so the song in the playlist is a cover. To hear to original, click here.]

The music made me feel ostentatiously elated & relatively homey. Like ether sense of “being” or “going”. conditionally connected or separated… Live, Love, Laugh, Leave well enough alone. Ever I want to be here now, but ever i lament to get there when…existentially in parting; great words come to mind as quoted from one Mr. Alfred E. Newman: “Why Worry?”

    i. LOVE. bad girls. (i feel like that should be said w/ a wink er something…)
ms. ash arabian – thank you for adding that one to your list. i was born+raised in the hood. and im SUCH a hip-hop beat kid. so much so that sometimes i have to listen to ym&c selections several times before it hits me. before i feel it. simply b/c… i move a bit differently. i respond to hard beats & nonsensical lyrics much more innately. m.i.a. i love so much. bc she’s such a… power-girl. intellect & spice. truly appreciate her being on your list. thank you, ma’am. ::tips cowboy hat::
