It means we are moveable. As is our site. Welcome back to the new version of YM&C. I am thrilled. We have now reached the direction I saw the site growing towards. Expect many more exclusives….Q&A’s….ways to get to know the brains behind the talent, the artists that we have yet to discover, or perhaps merely want to know more about…

We at YM&C want to serve you as a window. Do you want to look out at what we have to show you? We want to (as before) encourage love and support over here, because as we know, art soothes us, fills us with such wonderful feelings. You all have been so lovely and passionate about this keeping this as a safe haven to all that come here. I was so moved by how much love is spread on this site. And this time around, we would like to encourage even more feedback and interaction, so that the artists that we feature can come here (if they wish) and feel the love, can hear about what we like, where our curiosities lie….what we notice in their work. So in short, please leave some thoughtful comments!

I tried to fill these boxes above with some of my greatest joys, inspirations…. it was IMPOSSIBLY hard to narrow it down. I can hardly explain how much I live for this (art in all forms) it is my sole inspiration. Without these colors in my life….the ones that I know are waiting for me everywhere I go…well, I wouldn’t know how to leave my bed in the morning. Thank you for your overwhelming love and support! And please, let us know how we are doing over here. We are here for you!

It took me a really long time to understand Charlie. I kept thinking about what it could be, why would Dianna Agron invent a character if she is one by herself. One day, I stopped thinking. I was traveling with my family, it was the first time that I’ve ever saw snow in my life, it was thrilling. And then I felt it. I felt Charlie. I realized that inside my backpack, I had my glasses and the book I was reading at the time -which was Wuthering Heights. I stopped walking, sat on the snow and started reading. I realized that Charlie, for me, is not a character, it’s a feeling. A feeling of doing whatever I want, a feeling of freedom. Charile it’s not a “who” , it’s a “what”. It’s whatever you want it to be. Thinking about it later, it made me much more clear to see that Charlie is everywhere, in everyone.

For a while there was a quote on my wall; “There is no life without change.” and THAT is something I fully believe. Whether it be monumental change we notice right away, or change that happens gradually, it is something that is always there. We as people can be ever-changing, we ARE ever changing. That is something I believe as a whole, though I am a naturally stubborn person. Sometimes, change can be hard for me to process and accept. When I get in that (what I like to believe to be) momentary state of mind, I think of something I learned from a good person a few summers back.
I went to Haiti with a volunteer group, and we stayed at what we came to know as our “base camp” up in the mountains for about 10 days before we set out to host summer camps for the rural Haitian children. During those days we attended meetings, and at one of them we were taught a lesson I will never forget. A lesson I have learned before, yet this time what I took away from it was built upon. Attached is a picture from my journal I kept while abroad, and I apologize now for my handwriting!
Gody, the man who spoke, said that the person we meet today is not the same tomorrow. That we have seven steps we go through, and it is important for us to go through them. The first step, SENSATION, was presented to us and explained as “You can look before you see and you can see without looking. You do not need your eyes to see something, you need yourself.” You feel everything, ranging anywhere on the spectrum of emotions, but you can do anything if you adapt. The steps continue onto OBSERVATION, REFLECTION, CREATION, REACTION, PRODUCTION, ending with ESTABLISHMENT.
This post happens to be my favorite of the EXPLORE section because it’s a reminder to me of what change stands for, and that as long as we look hard enough that everything that happens to us can be good.

Change can be good and it can be bad but it a constant in our lives… if we don’t change we dissapear. This has become my favorite in the Explore topic, because Dianna’s mind is changing ans she knows change is good… after reading this I came out with a little paragraph it might say a lot to you or it might dont say anything at all. I had to change a lot of things in my life when I came to Australia.
Walking down the street I find myself lost in this city. I lost my name among the harbors . I can hear a borrowed Opera in a language that I don’t understand. Waiting for the green light to cross the street I’m surrounded by strangers. but in this frenzy of meaningless identity I feel my blood running in my veins. the blood of ancient Gods in great pyramids eating the hearts of the fallen.
I changed a city build over ancient pyramids for a new city build over land stolen by pirates. I changed my tongue for an standard mix of soulless sounds that poison my ears. I don’t have to change I have to die; and then when my body starts to rot and the maggots eat my flesh reborn and forget… Forget that I was God.

This is the post that made me interested in YMC. I had been on the newsletter for a while, but I mostly skipped past the newsletters without reading. However, seeing this post made me care. I saw so many of my own inspirations in the photo collage: black cat, ruby slippers, Audrey, Frida, Alice. This is why “Change is Good” is my favorite exploration post.

I just had to choose this post as my favorite EXPLORE post because it’s the first post to the start of the Brand-New You Me and Charlie. I also chose it because it’s not necisarly what most people would think of when they think of exploring. To me exploring is important and it involves change and letting new experiences into your life. I’ve learned that no matter how scared you may be of something, sometimes you just have to let the new experiences into your life because sometimes those experiences your afraid of can be some of the best experiences of your life.

This is my favorite post of the Explore site just because of the fact I really love Dianna and I was on this site since day 1. So Im really happy to see it get bigger and bigger. I think this Site is really unique in so many ways and there is so much stuff on here that you can´t find anywhere else. I am really glad that Dianna established this site because it really helped me a lot. You can always find Inspiration to do something on YM&C or discover something new. For me a big part of this is Music. Because I always want to discover new Artists because I love Music. I listen to so many different Genres or Artists from so many different Times and guess who made me listen to it. Dianna. For me it is really inspiring to share music with someone. My friends all know me for listen to a lot of music and if I find something new I instantly have the urge to share it. And if I share it with someone and he likes it im just really happy. Now thats the thing with Dianna´s music. Because of her Playlists or Q&A with different Artists I discovered so much.
Thats why I love this Post so much because I just love YM&C and Im so glad to see that it really took of and worked

This is my favorite ‘Explore’ post. One, because I really appreciate how truly passionate to ym&c Dianna sounds, and the way she talks about it is really inspirational. Two, because it talks about changes, and I think changing ourselves is one of the most challenging yet energizing things we can do; it’s definitely not easy because we aren’t always comfortable about it, and we can sometimes lose things or people we love but even then, in the end, it’s something we need. It’s like breathing fresh air after one long day swallowing smoke and polution. And we have always something to win, as difficult as it could sound having to let go on the old things. And three, because new ym&c is really great and there’s not one single day when I’m sad that I wont come here and find out some new artist and feel happy and love again.

Life is about change. We change all the time, change to town, we change a
thought, an attitude change, we change a lifestyle and that’s what’s
the fun of being alive.
I chose this post as favorite for three
reasons: It was the first post of this new version of YM&C (I missed
you!). Second, Dianna or Charlie is happy with this project and it is
so clear in this text, animated, emotional and inspiring. I love his
writing, finish reading with a smile on my face because I feel that she
did heart. YM&C is a part of Di that she shares with us, people who
will never have the chance to meet her and she does not even know
exists, but she knows that we love her. I’m happy to be part of it.
Third,
I loved these pics. I imagine that Dianna was chosen, because each has a
meaning to her: Arthur, Unicorn, Alice, skulls, elephant, some private photos … It is impossible not to love this post.

Actually there are a lof posts in the ‘EXPLORE’ category that I love, but this one has a special place. I love Di, I love YM&C, I love the Charlie sprit & this post is all those things together. it also marks the new YM&C. I mean, i’ve been visiting since the first day, its kind of emotional to see the change, the new editors, posts, music… I missed this place where I can find inspiring music, pics, texts… The comeback was so great, the layout is great, the editors are even greater.
And obviously changing is good, I know it, I’ve been throw a change: renovated some friends that werent good, changed some acts… I can say I’m the same as I was but better. Di passed such a great message with the text and talked more about herself, it was a great debut.

This is my favourite post because it’s the first I ever read on YM&C. It took me a while to understand Charlie, that it’s not just a character from the imagination from someone or just a name. In fact, that Charlie is not a ‘who’ but a ‘what’. A feeling. That there is a little piece of Charlie in me, and probably always will be.

This is by far my favourite EXPLORE post because it was the welcome back to the crazy, wonderful, magickal site I loved but in a brand new format! It made me super excited for new posts because Dianna teased us with “many more exclusives” and it made me realise how much I had actually missed the site!

Whenever I visit
YM&C I always end up returning to this post. This was the first post I came
across when the website relaunched, and I was blown away. The collage is just
mesmerising; I love the wide range of photos, and I adore the vibrant colours.
My favourite ones are probably the ruby slippers since The Wizard of Oz was my
favourite film as a child, and also the photos of Europe (that’s if you look
closely!). To put it short,
I was so ecstatic for the relaunch. I love the new layout and I love the
message that Dianna is trying to put across. YM&C is a great window for
opportunities, both for artists to get their name out there, and for us, the
visitors, to discover a huge variety of all things artistic and creative.

The right words. ”Art soothes us and fills us with wonderfull feeligs”, as Dianna said. I was allways wondering what is so special about art, and how it makes me feel so… Filled up. Infact, filled so much, that a part of the ”filling” goes over the cup. Exploring is a feeling and a natural instinct, that makes us move, go, feel something. Fills us up as diezel fills cars. Its… Amazing. That is why this is my favourite post at explore.

What strikes me and really resonates with me, is the boxes that show off the many lovely facets that make up Dianna and YM&C. It’s refreshing that in todays world where everyone needs to be a cookie cutter mirror image of what society wants, YM&C and Dianna turn that around and show us to embrace every part of ourselves, because thats what makes us special and original.

The reinvention of YM&C into this cleaner, clearer format can only be celebrated (the old format as somewhat cluttered, you’ve got to admit) – and makes it the ultimate jump pad for Charlie-ish exploration.

every once in a while i will look at something and a flood of momory and ideas from the past rush over me. YM&C has a real live feeling to me(a nostalgic excitement mixed with smiles and anticipation all in one) i love your colleague ,it makes me think of mornings and night, very symbolic to change. but also restful, safety, peace, contentment, wonderment, and cuddles (my favorite)
