Recently we introduced you to the work of collage artist, Chad Wys – this created all sorts of nostalgia here at Charlie HQ, reminiscing about the collages we used to make as a child. Inspired by the quote we posted from Pablo Picasso (whom, by the way, is always known for some amazing collage work), it was a no brainer to make collage art our next Creative Challenge.

Wikipedia defines collage as, “a technique of art production, primarily used in the visual arts, where the artwork is made from an assemblage of different forms, thus creating a new whole.” A new whole! Aaah I’m so geeked about this challenge already!

To help get you started, we’ve highlighted a few of our favorite collage artists in the gallery above to offer you inspiration. Get out your scissors, glue, magazines, ribbons, photographs, and if you’re feeling extra crafty, mod podge and let your creativity run rampant.
